Thursday, Thrice both going on hiatus

For Sale / News / November 22, 2011

This week hasn’t been kind to staples of the rock scene. Thrice announced a temporary hiatus, with the details of their break listed here at their official site. It looks as though they’ll be back someday. Thursday, on the other hand, it doesn’t look so pretty. They announced their indefinite hiatus, here. They also listed some “final” dates for touring.

In terms of vinyl, several titles from each group can be found on Ebay, while some can still be picked up at retailers.

Thrice’s 2009 album “Beggars,” can be found here, at InSound. “Major/Minor,” the band’s latest release is up for bid on Ebay, here, and is currently at $11.50. All other avenues of purchase for this record are sold out. The real find of their vinyl collection is of course “The Alchemy Index.” The 4 record collection doesn’t pop up too much on the auction sites, but when it does, it goes for quite a bit. The last one to pop up on Ebay went for around $175.

Thursday’s “Waiting,” can be picked up at several online stores, including Amazon, here. Amazon has several other of their albums on vinyl, including “Full Collapse,” “No Devolucion,” and “Common Existence.” They released No Devolucion earlier this year and you can also pick up that vinyl at their official store, here.
