PiL releasing first new material in 20 years

According to Public Image Ltd’s official website, the band will release its first new material in two decades on 2012 National Record Store Day. The four track EP will be entitled “One Drop,” and will include tracks from the band’s upcoming LP, “This is PiL.” The EP will be released on the band’s own label. According to the press release, the band is, “Widely regarded as one of the most innovative and influential bands of all time. PiL’s music and vision earned them 5 UK Top 20 Singles and 5 UK Top 20 Albums.” The frontman of PiL is John Lydon, former frontman for The Sex Pistols.

The band’s full length will come out in May. National Record Store Day is April 21st.
