Right Away Great Captain!, the side project of Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull, is going to have its entire trilogy of albums released on vinyl in early June. The 4xLP set, which is reportedly going up for pre-order next week, will include the upcoming album “The Church Of The Good Thief,” and the two previously released albums, “The Bitter End” and “The Eventually Home.” The three records tell the tale of a 17th century sailor who catches his wife in an act of betrayal with his very own brother.
“The Church Of The Good Thief,” will be released on June 12th and it’s expected that the vinyl set will be released at the same time. You can listen to the first song off the upcoming album, here.

i am so incredibly psyched for this but if they do a similar cluster fuck to the bad books pre-order i am going to be extremely pissed off.
What happened with Bad Books?
bad books was just dumped up for very limited pre-order whenever they pleased, the vinyl sold out within a few hours, then randomly they kept putting more on the store and random times, as a fan in the UK is was damn near impossible to be near a computer when it was going down.
i just think that pre-order times should be announced so everyone has an equal chance on grabbing what they want. ragc was a little annoying i suppose but i managed to pick up the deluxe which after 6 years of waiting looks well worth $120 .
I agree and was another who missed out on the Bad Books pre-order. Hopefully we can be on top of a repressing for you so that you don’t miss out on the next one!
luckily i picked up the vinyl on ebay on the indie store only press for a good price.
damn right, sounds like it should be finished soon so i can’t wait!
AMAZING band!.. can’t wait for your new album.. Loved you guys in Hamilton (first show i saw) and Hillside inside in Guelph .. *High fives!*
