Contests / July 13, 2012

For our fifth and final day of the “5 Days Of Vinyl” celebration, we’ll be giving away a copy of The Starting Line’s “Make Yourself At Home.” We have a copy of the transparent red with gold color-in-color variation, which was limited to 200 copies and is now sold out at Enjoy The Ride Records.

Big thanks to Enjoy The Ride for helping out with the contest. And of course, this promotion is to celebrate our 1-year anniversary at Modern Vinyl.

To enter, all you have to do is answer the following question by using our comment section:

Question: What is your most anticipated album for the remainder of the year?

Out of those who participate, the winner will be chosen at random. You have until midnight tonight (EST) to get your entry in. Good luck!

Already heard Yellowcard, so that’s off the table, would have easily been my #1.
Two Door Cinema Club is way up there, The xx, Circa, Gaslight, Go Radio, David Byrne/St Vincent, lots of stuff.

It’s a really hard decision this year but I think I’m going to have to go with The Vaccines’s The Vaccines Come of Age. Their first album was amazing, and all the new songs they’ve played live sound awesome. I can’t wait for September!

Probably the new Gaslight record, but I’ll also put a vote in for The Killers “Battleborn”. The single they’re using for the Olympics is absolutely huge sounding and I’m pretty intrigued.

The new Fences album. I’m not exactly sure when it is going to be released this year…but his debut was hands down one of the best albums I had heard in a while. I can’t wait for this new one.
