Universal running ‘Back To Black’ program

For Sale / Preorders / August 2, 2012

Earlier this month, we reported on a new pressing of Jimmy Eat World’s “Bleed American,” which is being released on 180-gram vinyl through Universal UK. Turns out, that release is part of a bigger program through Universal, entitled “Back To Black,” in which several albums are getting the vinyl treatment. Every listing I’ve found for the items are imports, so I’d assume each one is being done through the UK branch. You can see the new pressings below, along with pre-order links (all coming out on August 21st).

  • Jimmy Eat World (pictured) — Bleed American (buy, 180-gram vinyl)
  • Audioslave — Out Of Exile (buy, 180-gram 2xLP set)
  • Limp Bizkit — Significant Other (buy, 180-gram 2xLP set)
  • Feist — Let It Die (buy, 180-gram vinyl)
  • Iggy Pop — Blah Blah Blah (buy, 180-gram vinyl)
  • Marilyn Manson — Mechanical Animals (buy, 180-gram 2xLP set)
  • Portishead — Dummy (buy, 180-gram vinyl)
  • Talk Talk — Laughing Stock (buy, 180-gram vinyl)
  • The Stone Roses — Second Coming (buy, 180-gram 2xLP set)
  • Weezer — The Blue Album (buy)

A good option for those in Europe and the UK is the Universal store. Another good option for American customers is Sound Stage Direct.
