Keane participates in Upstairs at United

News / August 18, 2012

Upstairs at United, a series of all-analog vinyl recordings at United Record Pressing in Nashville, has announced the next two participants in their releases. The first, pressed on 12″ vinyl, features Keane (pictured), who recorded their performance this summer. The tracks, “It’s Not True,” “Sea Fog,” “Silenced By The Night” and “Fly To Me,” were stripped down for the session and recorded in one take.

The second features North Mississippi Allstars, who also recorded their performance this summer. Their session features the tracks, “Let It Roll,” “I’m a Soldier In The Army of The Lord,” “What You Gonna Do,” “Up Over Yonder” and “Keep Your Lamp Trimmed & Burning.” Each song was again recorded in a single take.

Both sessions are cut at 45 RPM. When retailers begin to put the item up for order, we’ll be sure to let you know.

Update 8/18/12: You can now pre-order the session from Keane on Amazon, or through the group’s webstore. You can also listen to a track from the session below.
