Contest: Anchor & Braille

Contests / December 31, 2012

Modern Vinyl is proud to team up with Spartan Records for our newest contest, in which we’ll be giving away a test pressing of Anchor & Braille’s 7″ single, titled Sound Asleep/Wedding, Funeral. The single was Spartan’s debut release and was a pressing of 1,000 copies on light purple vinyl. The test pressings, on black vinyl, are limited to 7 and have never been offered up to the public prior.

To enter the contest, all you have to do is be following both Spartan Records and Modern Vinyl on Twitter. You should be following Spartan anyways, as they’ve released some quality pressings. A random winner will be selected out of the individuals who follow both accounts. The contest runs until Sunday, December 23rd, at midnight (EST).

Anchor & Braille is the side project of Anberlin frontman, Stephen Christian. Both tracks on the single would appear on the project’s debut album, titled Felt, with “Sound Asleep” serving as an early version of “Introspect.”

Update 12/31/12: The winner of the contest is Twitter user: @bethanyscarlett. Spartan Records will contact the winner shortly regarding shipping details.
