ST from Tenacious D being repressed

Preorders / March 1, 2013

According to an item listing over at Amazon, it looks like Tenacious D’s 2001 self-titled album will be repressed. Little information is available about the new pressing, but it’s currently up for pre-order and set for a release date of March 5th.

The original pressing, long sold out, was a 2xLP set. It regularly goes for over $50 in online auctions.

Update 2/8/13: According to The Second Disc, the reissue will be a 180-gram 2xLP set, packaged in a gatefold jacket. Each copy will be individually numbered, as well. The reissue will also feature a brand new song from the group, titled “Pat Reilly,” specifically recorded for the release.

Update 3/1/13: According to Amazon, the album’s release has been delayed until April 16th.
