‘Electric Lady’ 7-inch bundle now on sale

Preorders / August 13, 2013

Pre-orders have been announced for The Electric Lady (Suites IV & V), the upcoming third album from pop R&B songstress Janelle Monae. While a full-fledged, 2xLP will be released later in the year, the album is currently being sold as a CD and digital download with an optional, limited edition 7″ single. The record – which is pressed on half-white/half-black vinyl (see image below) – contains the album’s debut single “Q.U.E.E.N. (Feat. Erykah Badu)” backed with “Dance Apocalytpic,” another track from the album proper. It is limited to 2,000 copies worldwide.

While the single can’t be purchased on its own, buyers have the option of bundling it with the digital ($14.99) or CD ($19.99) version of The Electric Lady. Pre-ordering will give early-adopters instant downloads of both tracks from the single, as well as a 20% discount on the future 2xLP pressing and early access to pre-sale tickets for Monae’s fall tour.

The Electric Lady will be released on Sept. 10th. You can watch the official music video for “Q.U.E.E.N. (Feat. Erykah Badu)” below.
