‘So Long, Astoria,’ other Ataris work being reissued

News / December 16, 2013

In addition to the news that The Ataris So Long, Astoria lineup is reuniting, along with a tour in honor of that album, Kung Fu Records has announced that some special vinyl will be coming soon of the band’s releases. An email from Kung Fu confirmed that Astoria is included in these vinyl reissue plans (even though it was originally released by Columbia), while the label has also released the following full lengths from the band: Anywhere But Here; Blue Skies, Broken Hearts….Next 12 Exits; and End Is Forever.

And judging by the message sent out via the label’s Facebook, it certainly won’t just be one album being reissued. Astoria is the clear highlight, though, since it was last pressed in 2003 and secondary market prices are quite high.

It’s official! THE ATARIS classic line up is back! To celebrate we just might have some special 180 gram and colored vinyl collector additions of The Ataris releases coming soon! How exciting is this?!?!
