Contest: Sam Cooke [Winner Announced]

Contests / July 4, 2014

Modern Vinyl is proud to team up with ABKCO Records for our newest contest, in which we’ll be giving away a copy of Sam Cooke’s Portrait of a Legend 1951-1964. The 31-track collection, highlighting both Cooke’s early gospel and later pop and soul career, is now available as a double vinyl package, marking its first appearance on wax. The 200-gram vinyl was “cut from high-resolution files mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering, and the master lacquers were cut by Carl Rowatti at Trutone Mastering.”

We have one copy of the collection up for giveaway and you can enter below. One entry is allowed per person and the winner will be chosen randomly. Entries will be taken until Friday, July 11th, at midnight (EST). It’s a pretty awesome package and you should definitely be taking the 30 seconds to enter.

Update 7/24/14: The winner of the contest is Christopher Mihaly. Please send your mailing address to news@modern-vinyl.com.
