R.E.M. Unplugged release to be split, released on vinyl again

R.E.M.’s Unplugged sessions, which were pressed in a 4xLP set for Record Store Day 2014, are being split up and released on vinyl once again. According to a Facebook post from the band, the band is working on “two separate vinyl releases: MTV Unplugged 1991 and MTV Unplugged 2001” and each release will include the entire performance, as it was with the 4xLP set.

The tracks were remastered for the previous release. You can stream the entire 2-set performance, below. These sets will be released on September 2nd.
