Arca’s debut ‘Xen’ up for pre-order

Preorders / October 1, 2014

Xen, the debut album by elusive Venezuelan producer Arca, is now available for pre-order courtesy of Mute (whose webstore is currently down). Arca has previously made contributions to FKA twigs and Kanye’s Yeezus and will purportedly be co-producing Björk’s forthcoming album.

Xen is available as a 500-piece limited edition pressing containing a bonus 10″ of previously unreleased material – all sealed within a hand-numbered, black PVC bag. The album also appears to be available as a standalone LP. While Bleep is currently holding (expensive) pre-orders for both versions, you can snag a reasonably priced copy of what’s almost definitely the standard edition over at Amazon.

Xen will be released internationally on Nov. 3 and Nov. 4 in the U.S. You can watch the NSFW video for the album’s debut track “Thievery” below.
