The MV Podcast 053: Record Store Day (2015) Spectacular

News / Podcast / April 23, 2015

For the 53rd episode of The Modern Vinyl Podcast we talk Record Store Day 2015, including what exactly RSD is supposed to mean and what specific changes we would make to the celebration. We also play all RSD songs, from both Furious Hooves and Silva Screen Records (big thanks to them). And finally we talk some RSD reader questions and stick around for some real mayhem in the last 20 or so minutes.

So, starting around 27 minutes, we have a conversation about RSD stock being non-refundable. Well, as it turns out, vinyl is generally non-refundable all the time at indies. Not sure why this fact slipped past me. Perhaps RSD stock should still be refundable/returnable for the reasons we listed, but it certainly makes that complaint much less valid, considering you can never really do it anyways. Wanted to point out and apologize for that mistake. Enjoy the episode regardless!
