Exclusive Spin: No Tide — Sunday Morning

Exclusive Spin / News / Special Features / May 6, 2015

For a track with such huge, stage-ready instrumentation, the message anchoring No Tide‘s “Sunday Morning” is one that seems much more personal, intimate. Frontman Will Conner, his occasionally raspy, consistently powerful vocal work in tow, talks emotional and monetary value, and how the two can be so closely related. Speaking of an individual who grew up with “tons of cash to spare” and who “never had to learn to save receipts,” Conner exclaimed that life “ain’t that way” amidst the hook’s flurry of riffs. But above all else, his message seems to be that despite economic upbringing, “No one’s rich without a heart” and that element right there…..well, it doesn’t exactly have a price tag.

The song hails from the Nebraska-based punk outfit’s debut full length record, Death Of The Sun. The album, produced by Jay Maas (Transit, Polar Bear Club) is being released on June 30th through Take This To Heart Records. You can pre-order the record on the following variants:

  • Grimace Purple with Aqua Blue Splatter — 200
  • Black — 200
  • Red – 100
