Motion City, Wonder Years split announced

News / Preorders / October 5, 2015

Following rumors for the past couple weeks, the upcoming split 7″ from The Wonder Years and Motion City Soundtrack has officially been announced. The 7″ is actually pretty interesting, with the bands actually swapping instrumental versions of songs of their new albums. Then, according to Hopeless, “Given only the song titles and having never heard the original versions, Dan from TWY and Justin Pierre from MCS were charged with the task of writing their own lyrics and melodies to create songs that blur the lines between the two artists.”

The people who purchased a VIP package for their upcoming tour will recieve a code and first dibs to order on October 9th. Everyone else can grab one October 12th.

Update 10/9/15: The split is now on sale. The pressing is limited to 1,000 copies each of red vinyl and green vinyl and the tracklisting is below. It will ship out around December 1st.

7-inch Track Listing
Side A
The Wonder Years – (Sort of) A Song For Patsy Cline

Side B
Motion City Soundtrack – It’s (Sort of) A Pleasure To Meet You
