Jack White honors acoustic tour with new Vault package

News / Preorders / April 4, 2016

Third Man’s 28th edition of their Vault series is all about Jack White. The singer-songwriter’s 2015 acoustic tour, in which he hit 5 states he had yet to perform in — North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho and Alaska — will be honored in a 2xLP set, DVD, photo book and prints.

The 2xLP is of the Idaho performance (they ran tape and film of the entire tour) and is described below:

The performance was captured exclusively by ribbon microphones and is dripping with atmosphere. Including a cover of Howlin’ Wolf’s “I Asked For Water (She Gave Me Gasoline)” and ending with a rousing rendition of Leadbelly’s “Goodnight Irene,” what exists here is pure magic. This double LP set will be pressed on Icy Idaho Blue vinyl.

The DVD is of his Alaska performance in Anchorage. A 52-page photo book is also included, as are two prints. Everything is housed in a “soft-touch, silk-screened box.”

You can sign up for the vault here.
