Exclusive Spin: Me Like Bees — There Will Be Time

Exclusive Spin / News / Special Features / June 14, 2016

Hailing from the same town as Christofer Drew, Me Like Bees rarely shouts ever. Pardon the cheap Never Shout Never reference, instead, process the similarities — this Joplin, MO quartet features similar wandering guitar and cooing background vocals. The title track from the quartet’s latest EP (released this April) gains a lyric video which isn’t too lazy or overblown. Black and white cinematography places foliage behind delicate finger picking for a springtime ode recast for summer. Lead vocalist Luke Sheafer weaves in between championed belting (okay, so maybe there’s hints of shouts) and near-whispering cool, while the rest of his friends let their instruments swell and get swallowed by their own created breeze.

“There Will Be Time” is available for purchase on white vinyl here.
