Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers being treated to box-sets

News / Preorders / October 26, 2016

There’s two vinyl box-sets being released to honor Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers. You can see the details on each box below. Weirdly, volume 1 is scheduled to come out after volume 2, so I’d expect those dates to shift around at some point. The big headline is definitely the reissue of Wildflowers in volume 2, which is a full length fans have wanted for some time. It was last pressed in 1994, and in the secondary market, people have been dropping $250+ for it over recent years.

The Studio Album Vinyl Collection 1976-1991 features the first 9 Tom Petty albums each pressed on 180G vinyl. Featuring Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers, You’re Gonna Get It!, Damn The Torpedoes, Hard Promises, Long After Dark, Southern Accents, Let Me Up (I’ve Had Enough), Full Moon Fever, and Into The Great Wide Open. All housed in a deluxe LP Box with Flip Top Lid.

Includes Wildflowers (2-LP); She’s The One (1-LP); Echo (2-LP; three sides of music plus laser art etching on side four); The Last DJ (2-LP; three sides of music plus laser art etching on side four); Highway Companion (2-LP); Mojo (2-LP); and Hypnotic Eye (1-LP). All vinyl in box is 180 gram

Volume 2 is scheduled for Nov. 25 and Volume 1 is scheduled for Dec. 9.
