VNYL, Vinyl Me Please make appearances on Ellen

Preorders / December 9, 2016

Some vinyl sub programs have been getting daytime talk show love as Ellen featured both Vinyl Me, Please and VNYL over the past couple weeks. Vinyl Me, Please was part of their 12 Days of Christmas giveaways, while VNYL gave away Crosley turntables as part of a Ryan Gosling appearance (Gosling gave away copies of the La La Land soundtrack on wax as well).

Obviously, I’ve ragged on VNYL in the past, but there’s no denying they’ve tapped into something with younger collectors and have branded themselves with similar aims (those annoying sponsored posts/YouTube unboxings, they must be working for someone!). They won’t break in with brick & mortar faithful, but maybe they don’t need us?

And Vinyl Me Please continues to be the most consistent, impressive sub service out there (and one that actually has the backing of vinyl snobs). Great curation on their monthly records, plus the member store exclusives have been successful.
