Magnetic Fields’ ’50 Song Memoir’ up for pre-order

The new 50 Song Memoir release from The Magnetic Fields, is now up for pre-order at Nonesuch and Amazon. According to the listing, the 5xLP set “chronicles the 50 years of songwriter Stephin Merritt’s life with one song per year.” Merritt plays over 100 instruments total on the tracks, singing on each one. The rare autobiographical tracks from the singer-songwriter.

The vinyl edition includes a 100-page book (handwritten lyrics, interviews). The set will be released on March 3.
