Camp Cope, Cayetana make us all happy, team up for 7″ split

News / Preorders / January 6, 2017

You haven’t listened to Camp Cope? You haven’t LISTENED to “Jet Fuel Can’t Melt Steel Beams”? Remedy this and come back to the article. The latter, a track that’s quickly climbing my tops of 2016 list, is the kind of sarcastic, empowerment anthem I thought died with the ’90s, the band going after rape culture and the “nice guy.” And all this is tied in with certain individuals’ absurd reliance on NRA catchphrases and nonsensical conspiracy theories.

This is all leading me to tell you about a new 7″ split, which has the band teaming up with Tiny Engines roster member Cayetana. Each side has 2 new tracks from the groups, with Cayetana’s leading into a new full length.

The 7″ is on splatter vinyl or hot pink, and it’s labeled as a one-time pressing. Shipping will be high for U.S. customers, but at least you know the quality will be there. You can stream “Keep Growing,” the Camp Cope song below, along with a recommended live set from Cayetana.
