Sleater-Kinney go ‘Live In Paris,’ first live LP from the band

News / Preorders / January 6, 2017

Sleater-Kinney has been pretty active since making their return, with the new full length, reissues (just before the official reunion), tapes, and a ton of tour dates. And now they’ve finally got their first live LP available to fans. The album, titled Live In Paris, has sold out on the “Loser Edition” color of coke bottle clear, but it’s still up on black vinyl (Amazon). The colored version should also be sold in indie stores at time of release. You can also see in the image that this is getting a homemade-looking tape release.

You can listen to their sharp live version of “Surface Envy,” below. The pressing is being released on Jan. 27. It’s weird, but I’d still call “Bury Our Friends,” the first single and first taste of their last LP, my favorite song from that record. Nothing has supplanted its energy and that dual vocal chorus.
