Exclusive Video Spin: Silver Age — Camp Lady

Exclusive Spin / News / February 8, 2017

Michigan’s Save Your Generation Records is home to the TV Dinner series of 7″ compilations, a tradition which featured hometown heroes and upstart punks alike. In another attempt to offer more than just a digital sampler, 2017 has brought A Comprehensive Guide to Save Your Generation Records. As the title suggests, this 12″ various artists EP not only enjoys upgraded length, but an extensive survey of the Mitten’s sonic topography. The digital/vinyl collection features contributions from label alumni Kayak Jones and Hot Mulligan, as well as newcomer Silver Age, whose selection “Camp Lady” is premiering in visual form below. As a follow-up to 2015’s Objects in Mirror Are Closer Than They Appear, this Bedford quartet replaces their textbook pop-punk for the slicker, muddier dirges of the 2010s post-grunge movement. Despite a swift shift in direction, the band fits right at home with SYG’s roster, delivering as much punch as they do refined posture.

A Comprehensive Guide to Save Your Generation Records will be released digitally on March 10th and on 12″ vinyl on or around May 5th. You can pre-order either configuration here.
