‘Batman,’ ‘Batman Returns’ scores coming through Mondo

News / March 7, 2017

In the currently ongoing Reddit AMA with Mondo, label manager for Mondo and Death Waltz, Mo Shafeek, has revealed that both Batman (1989) and Batman Returns will have their Danny Elfman scores released on vinyl. The original Batman was first teased at MondoCon 2016, but Batman Returns is new and very, very welcome.

As Mo said last year:

“I like to consider it a tribute to Prince. He did this really great soundtrack to a movie in the ’80s that we’re not releasing, But we’re releasing the score to the movie instead of the soundtrack.”

And now:

“Actually, yes! We are currently working on not only Batman 1989, and also Batman Returns. Hopeful to have both out this year, with Batman Returns coming first.”
