RSD 2017: U2 bringing back ‘Red Hill’ for new record

News / Record Store Day 2017 / March 11, 2017

According to Music Universe, who screencapped a now deleted tweet, U2 will partake in Record Store Day 2017. The image shows a picture disc of the 2017 remixed version of “Red Hill Mining Town,” with no side B revealed.

Earlier this year, in Stereogum, they talked about this remix, which is said to include new vocals by Bono and that they “brought out the colliery brass band which was recorded at the time…You can’t hear it in the original mix.” The song will also be part of the CD/LP box-sets being released for Joshua Tree.

Record Store Day will be held on April 22.
