Slaughter Beach, Dog releasing new 7″

News / Preorders / June 8, 2017

The new EP from Slaughter Beach, Dog, sporting the humorously titled Motorcycle.jpg, is now up for pre-order at Lame-O Records. The black pressing is limited to 500 copies. Jake Ewald, of Modern Baseball, says the EP gave him “an opportunity to get a little bit weirder than usual,” while everything is said to be “blown out here, allowing him to create songs that never settle into one specific set of sounds.”

You can stream “Building The Ark” below, courtesy of The Fader. The 7″ will be released on July 14th.

On the song:

I started thinking more about my family. I have a really close relationship with them, and I have a twin sister that I have a really close relationship with. When I got tired of being on the road all the time, I started thinking about how I missed my family. I always felt like I was putting them out by being gone all the time. There’s some of that in there. But it’s also just about dealing with being alone for a while.
