Dumb Numbers releasing ‘Stranger’ EP

News / Preorders / June 21, 2017

Dumb Numbers has a new EP up for pre-order over at Joyful Noise, titled Stranger. The EP was inspired by a 2015 tour, in which their drummer had to drop out and they enlisted Aniela Perry (electric cello) for “some very slow, cinematic and open-ended interpretations of our songs.” From there, they wanted to document these experiences and thus, this EP was born. Courtesy of the band:

“I Am Nothing” is not an Electric Wizard cover, but rather takes its name from the spoken word performance by another talented Melbourne family friend, Elissa Rose, who added her poetry to the improvised instrumental section we started our set with each night. And last but not least, another Aussie member of the Dumb Numbers family, Geordie Stafford from Golden Bats, adds some crushing elemental guitar to the outro section of “Sometimes”.

The EP is being released on July 7th. The pressing is on 12″ olive and oxblood vinyl, limited to 500 copies.
